Production plants

Bydgoszcz Plant

The Bydgoszcz plant is the oldest cable and wire factory in Poland and one of the largest and most modern production centres for medium, high and extra-high voltage cables in Europe. Thanks to advanced technologies and many years of experience, the plant provides innovative solutions for the global energy sector.

As a key production infrastructure of the TFKable Group, the Bydgoszcz plant – together with JDR plants in Hartlepool and Littleport – belongs to the elite group of suppliers of cables intended for the transmission of electricity by sea.

MODERN RESEARCH FACILITIES

The plant plays a strategic role in the development of cable technologies thanks to the specialised Extra-High Voltage Laboratory, where innovative prototypes and technological guidelines for HVAC and HVDC cables are developed. The Quality Control Department Laboratory is accredited by the Polish Center for Accreditation (PCA) in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard, which confirms the highest standards of research and quality.

KEY PRODUCTION PARAMETERS

Voltage range: 10-500 kV

CCV - modern lines for applying XLPE and EPR insulation for medium voltage cables and lines for high and extra high voltage cables

EXPANSION AND INCREASE OF PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES

Since 2024, the plant has significantly increased its production capabilities:

Production of one cable section weighing up to 100 tons

Handling drums with a diameter of up to 5 meters and a width of up to 10 meters

Production plants

Kraków - Wielicka Plant

The Kraków Plant is one of the largest cable factories in Europe, specializing in the production of power cables and wires. The production range includes, among others, 1kV Cu and Al power cables, overhead lines, rubber-insulated cables and wires, including mining and welding ones. All types of proprietary rubber mixtures used in cables, such as EPR, CR, EVA and CSP, have an original recipe developed in cooperation with research centers

As one of the few European manufacturers, the Plant supplies mines on all continents. The range also includes specialist cables and wires for use in the railway industry, shipbuilding industry and ports (crane cables) as well as signal and control cables for special applications

Key parameters:

GMM01 and GMM02 rubber mixture mixers

Insulation lines for rubber cables

Cable Waste Recycling Plant in Bukowno

Care for the environment

TFKable attaches great importance to environmental protection, complying with applicable European Union directives. Each investment and material used in production is carefully assessed in terms of their impact on the environment.

Sustainable investments

As part of a sustainable policy, in November 2007 the Cable Waste Recycling Plant was launched in Bukowno, located approximately 50 km from Krakow. This plant processes waste generated during cable production and used cables from renovation and construction works in the facilities of the TFKable Group.

Advanced technologies

Thanks to the use of modern, environmentally friendly technologies, the plant has the capacity to recycle over 10 thousand tons of cable waste per year. This process allows for the recovery of raw materials with a purity exceeding 99.5%.

Scientific cooperation

In cooperation with the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, TELE-FONIKA Kable has begun work on an innovative method of cable recycling. The aim of the project was to develop technology that would allow the recovery of raw materials of a quality comparable to primary materials, which significantly increases the efficiency and profitability of the recycling process.

For its contribution to environmental protection, TFKable was awarded the title of "Partner of Polish Ecology" by the Minister of the Environment and Water Management in 2007.
