Global projects provide an overview of key implementations in the energy, offshore, and industrial sectors. We specialize in delivering comprehensive solutions, including the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of systems for various industries.
With years of experience, innovative technologies, and a team of experts, we execute projects related to offshore infrastructure, onshore power installations, and advanced cable systems for industry. Our solutions contribute to increased operational efficiency, cost optimization, and ensuring stable energy supply.
In 2023, JDR signed a contract for the development of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm in Poland. The project involves the design, manufacture, and installation of 340 km of both onshore and subsea cables. Located 23 km off the Polish coast, the farm will cover approximately 130 square kilometers and will feature 76 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 15 MW. Once completed in 2026, the farm will generate a total capacity of 1.2 GW, enough to power over 1.5 million households with clean energy. The cables to be produced and installed include 230 kV onshore export cables and inter-array cable components, which will be produced at the Bydgoszcz manufacturing plant. The production and delivery of all subsea cables are scheduled for the end of 2025, contributing to the further development of renewable energy in Poland.
JDR completed the production and delivery of 170 km of aluminium core inter-array cables for the Kriegers Flak wind farm, one of Denmark’s key renewable energy projects. The cables, which were produced at JDR’s Bydgoszcz and Hartlepool facilities, form an essential part of the wind farm’s power transmission infrastructure. Upon completion, the Kriegers Flak wind farm will have 72 turbines, each with a capacity of 8.4 MW, providing 605 MW of power—enough to supply over 600,000 Danish households, representing around 23% of Denmark’s energy needs.
Formosa 1 is Taiwan's first commercial-scale offshore wind energy project, located approximately 6 km off the western coast of Miaoli in the Taiwan Strait. As part of the project, 21 km of inter-array cables, 13 km of export cable, and 16 km of onshore cables were supplied to transmit energy from the wind turbines to the shore. In 2020, JDR and the Bydgoszcz facility produced and delivered the required cables, along with providing accessories, cable installation, equipment assembly, and post-installation support, carried out by a team of 26 technicians on the offshore turbine platforms.
Formosa 1 is a key milestone in the development of the wind energy sector in Taiwan, and it is the first project in the region to enable the commercial production of offshore wind energy. The project achieved a total capacity of 120 MW upon completion of its second phase.
The Moray East Offshore Wind Farm is one of the largest renewable energy development projects in the UK, requiring precisely coordinated deliveries and installations. A key component of the project was the supply of 220 kV HV land cables, which were manufactured and tested at the TFKable facility in Bydgoszcz. These cables were then transported to the Scottish coastline using an innovative system of 270 rotating drums, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
The Moray East wind farm aims to provide low-emission energy capable of meeting the average annual electricity demand of over 950,000 households in the UK. As part of this investment, JDR also supplied accessories for the offshore team responsible for terminations and testing, complementing the earlier delivery of 200 km of 66 kV cables and a range of termination accessories.
Moray East is a significant project, contributing not only to the growth of renewable energy in Scotland but also representing an important step towards sustainable energy transition, supporting the future of low-emission power generation in the region.
In 2019, the annual volume of medium-voltage cables exceeded 1,000 km. Cables were supplied for most projects awarded through the first renewable energy auction, including Poland’s largest project—FW Potęgowo, for which over 550 km of medium-voltage cables were delivered.
TFKable contributed to the development of Poland’s largest onshore wind farm, with a capacity of 132 MW, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. In 2019, 215 km of 110 kV cables were delivered. The installation was launched in 2020, generating 420 GWh of electricity annually.
